Wind Walker Ecovillage-- A Universe-City of Hope
A Campus of Possibilities
At Wind Walker Learning Center we are in
the process of creating a heritage/future preservation
learning center. During this process all facilities are
currently being used through Wind
Walker Guest Ranch including lodging,
meeting
facilities, and spa area. As we expand,
we are keeping our mission in mind of creating a regenerative
ecological sustainable community that encompasses edu-tainment,
spiritual development, holistic health and wellness, and
environmentally compassionate simplistic housing that
facilitates people of all ages, races and ethnic backgrounds.
This project is an on going project as creating
and building is all part of the learning experience.
The center at the minimum has a classroom, and will have
vernacular buildings created to resemble Ancient, Pioneer,
Native American, and futuristic structures. It also
includes a large gathering area, craft, writing, and art
workshops as well as an area for the performing arts and
music. It will have a museum, a
health and wellness center to facilitate alternative
and holistic health. The facilities currently have horses
and plans to have more animals and a large garden.
The lodging handles a maximum of 54 people and we plan
to increase that to 120 lodging facilities. The
location is on the land that is currently servicing the
Wind Walker Guest Ranch.
The center facilitates seminars, workshops,
and retreats to the general public, business and special
interest groups. Some areas of exploration are:
-
-
Earth wisdom and energies
-
Spirituality and spiritual psychology
-
Altruism and self-actualization
-
Improved caring relationships
-
Reconstituting the family connection
-
Animal assisted activities
-
Gardening
-
History
-
Health
- Creative expression
- Communication connection
The learning center is also a venue to explore new ideas
and discoveries. A place to share them with others, both
at our facility and through our cyber community connection.
This facility also supplies a venue to schools for field
trips, educational camps, retreats, and interactive heritage
experiences. Permanent staff facilitate some activities
and others will be volunteers and outside experts.
Our expanded vision includes additional structures. Check
them out ....Look at the plans for this very unique Universe-City
of Hope, a Campus of Possibilities and provide us with your
feedback or contribute to this vision. We anticipate building
the development intra structure in the Spring of 2004 pending
funding. All structures will be ecologically built to maintain
the harmony within nature. |
