Spiritual Center at Wind Walker Learning Center
Facility Purpose: At Wind
Walker Learning Center we understand the importance of connecting
to ones own spiritual essence to be whole with ones self.
To help in the connection that we seek we have designed a sanctuary
available to people of all backgrounds and religious beliefs.
Service offerings: The area
will have a small 1000 square foot chapel available for blessings,
spiritual connection classes and weddings. In the area surrounding
the ranch is a sweat lodge, medicine wheels and stone circles
, and we plan to add a meditation garden and spiral, a Labyrinth,
and a kiva. There are already several ancient medicine wheels
currently on the facility.
Building Structure: A small
chapel style structure containing an open area inside much like
a church. A traditional style sweat lodge made of native willow
branches, and nature connection designated walk ways will be present.
A mud and cobb structure that is a meditation space
and a kiva for circle gatherings.
Potential funding Revenue: In conjunction
to visitor donations and grants, the area will be able to host
meeting space for small special interest groups, rental space,
and Tai Chi and mediation classes.
Building Budget:$75,000 for small
building structure and native landscaping.
Start up Budget:$2,000
Potential funding Revenue:$10,800 based on weddings
hosted by the center at 2 weddings a month and other miscellaneous
donations provided by visitors.
